This is my latest book and the most personal. This is a memoir and adventure book. It talks of my husband and my first year together after getting married. The book shares about life in the Amazon river and it has lots of information about indigenous people and the rainforest itself including the wildlife we encountered within it, while we were navigating the river on our boat. We spent that year traveling the amazon in an atmosphere of joy and love as newlyweds. The book shares some of the wonder of our natural world that is currently in danger. Our story is a testament to youth, love, adventure, and courage. The Spanish version of this book will be coming out soon.

My inspiration to write Coffee: The FIRST CUP, a bilingual picture book (English/Spanish), began with the coffee plantation my grandmother ran, and the lattes I’ve enjoyed since my childhood in a tropical country. Although no one knows when coffee began, it is mentioned in texts from a 1.000 years ago, while one account dates its first use to the early 1600s, Coffee’s mysterious origins drew me to research legends about coffee’s origin and possible connection to ancient monasteries. Tracing the popular legend behind this book. I was impressed by these monasteries and the calligraphy the monks used. Their beautiful work made it a joy to produce the artwork and tell my version of the legend in the pages of Coffee: The First Cup

CoffeeSitos is the introduction of my coffee characters into the world of coffee.  My grandmother owned a small coffee plantation from which she made her living until her early eighties. In this book I describe real life events from my grandmother’s experience while adding elements of magic and fantasy to describe the coffee beans coming to life.  This book is bilingual (Spanish/English).

This is a bilingual fantasy book that will ignite your imagination to dream.  I was inspired to write this story while watching dragonflies flying in such a wild way, that I thought they looked “hyper.”  No one around me seemed to pay any attention to their “manners” when they passed by flying so close over their heads. This happened at a park at lunchtime some time ago. You will enjoy the mystical part that is woven into the story. This book is bilingual (Spanish/English).

This story was created to reaffirm the power of thought. This story captures the sweetness of the insects and animals going out of their way to give a little girl named Leah a gift of love equaling the tremendous love she shares with them. Just as important as the gift of love are Leah’s wishes and the unexpected materializing of her thoughts. This is a story for the young dreamer in all of us. This book is bilingual (English/Spanish).

This book is my fifth book, but the third book about coffee. This is an ode to coffee, a poem created showing the value that coffee has in our world. This book is bilingual (English/Spanish).
